who is haynie spirit?

what do we do?

The idea of the Haynie Spirit Bone Cancer Foundation started amidst the despair and frustration felt after Jennifer's death. We had to take action to try to do whatever we could to further the cause of finding a cure for osteosarcoma. During Jennifer's illness and death, our family realized how many lives Jennifer had touched in her short time here. We want to transform that love and support into ACTION.

Large portions of Haynie Spirit’s funds are raised at public events held throughout the year. We try to hold family friendly public events that bring together anyone who knew Jennifer or anyone who has been touched by cancer and wants to fight back.  We have had BBQ Fundraisers, Crawfish boils and Walks along the Galveston Seawall. We started with a Kick off Event in Pearland in 2010 and gathered all the family, friends, coaches, teachers, and the whole community of people who had been so supportive during Jennifer's illness. This was a time to relax, eat, visit, have some fun, and remember Jennifer while raising some money for a good cause. The turnout was tremendous!  We strive to make our events fun yet productive.
