2026 Haynie Hometown Walk
We're bringing our previous Galveston SeaWalk back to our hometown of Pearland at Centennial Park. Every registration to this event will bring us closer to achieving our mission. Bring your kids, put together a team, get lap sponsors, and wear Halloween costumes, It will be a fun event!

October 24, 2026 9AM - 12 noon
We will meet at the Lone Star Pavilion (near the splash pad) between 9 and 10 for registration and t-shirt pickup. There will be a few silent auction items to bid on and a kid's Halloween costume contest with a prize for Age 0-6 and a prize for ages 7-12 at 9:30 AM. The Walk will start at 10 AM sharp! The entire lap is about 1 mile, you can walk as far as you want or get sponsors to pay you for each lap that you complete. There will also be a prize for the Walker who raises the most money! Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all and raise money to fight children's bone cancer.
A large portion of Haynie Spirit's funds are raised at public events held throughout the year. Our two annual events are the Pearland BBQ Fundraiser or Crawfish Boils and the Galveston Seawalk. Both events are volunteer-driven, and we could always use more help in organizing, planning, and setting up. The 3rd Jennifer Haynie Memorial Crawfish Boil
Other than the juicy crawdads, there will be music, beer, games, a silent and live auction to enjoy. If anyone is up for the challenge, there will also be a fun cornhole tournament and a kids activity area. If you would like to Reserve Tables, contact us (Mary@Hayniespirit.org)

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Haynie Spirit Bone Cancer Foundation.
BBQ Fundraiser
Our most recent BBQ fundraiser in Pearland, TX was another fantastic event. Thank you to all who attended and helped raise money to fund osteosarcoma research. And special thanks to all the volunteers for your time and efforts in making this event a success.
